Japanese Robes

What do the Japanese characters on the back of a hokage robe mean?

I would like to know what the four symbols on the back of the hokage's robe are.

  1. i think it says shodaime hokage (1st hokage), nidaime hokage (2nd hokage), sandaime hokage (3rd hokage), yondaime hokage (4th hokage), etc.
  2. Leader or 1st, 2nd, leader...
  3. if your asking about the symbol 火(hi), it means fire. Hokage's Ho=fire (another way of reading 火) (Japanese kanji characters have more than one way of being read/pronounced) if it's written 一(初)、二、三、四、五=1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4rth, 5th The leaders of the other countries, such as the Kazekage and Raikage ect mean wind and thunder. The names of the "kage" depends on the country. Konoha is considered the country of fire, that's why the leader is "hokage".
